We love this recipe and usually incorporate it in our meals once a week. Not everyone loves brussels sprouts like we do, so I didn’t use that in my meal plans. But if you’re like us and love this wonderful veggie, feel free to add it often.
Ingredients
1 lb brussels sprouts, trim the end off and cut in half (if really large I cut into quarters)
1/4 cup avocado oil (can use olive oil)
Salt and pepper to taste
1/4 cup pure maple syrup
Directions
Heat a large skillet on medium-high heat. Add avocado oil and heat. Add brussels sprouts and cook until tender. This can take 20-25 minutes. You need to stir often so they don’t burn too much (getting them dark brown is part of the wonderful flavor). Just before serving, drizzle the pure maple syrup over the top of them and then heat for a few minutes until they are a little caramelized.
