How Gut Health Mobile App Works
To log your pain, open the MTH app and select the How’s Your Pain? icon on the Dashboard. Or, you can select Pain from the hamburger menu in the upper left corner. From the Pain screen click the Add icon. From there you will select the date and time, and then drag your finger over the slider bar to select a pain level (1 being light to 10 being high). You can select as many of the descriptions listed below that describe your pain, then click the Save button.
Note: It is critical that you use additional description boxes to describe any type of pain you are experiencing. This will make all the difference in determining what is going on with your body, and will be reflected in your history and reports.
To log your bowel movements, open the MTH app and select the Bowel Movement? icon on the Dashboard. Or, you can select Bowel Movements from the hamburger menu in the upper left corner. From the Bowel Movement screen click the Add icon. Select the date and time. Based on the images provided, choose what your bowel movement looks like. Click the Save button.
If you forget to log a bowel movement, you can change the date and time by clicking on the pencil in the date and time field in the upper left corner.
To log the food you eat, open the MTH app and select the What Did You Eat? icon on the Dashboard. Or, you can select Eating from the hamburger menu in the upper left corner. From the What I’m Eating screen click the Add icon. Select the date and time. Click the Add button.
There are four ways to add/search for foods.
- All: You can manually search the food database by clicking the Add icon. Type in the food you are looking for and click search. Then click the + button.
- My Recipes: Search for recipes you have previously entered in the My Recipes section.
- MTH Recipes: Search any recipe stored in the MTH (More Than Healthy) database.
- My Foods: Any foods you have previously entered manually or by scanning a barcode can be searched here.
You can also scan a barcode to enter a food. Click the Barcode icon. Then select Scan Barcode with Camera or Enter manually. Additionally, you can enter what beverages you have been drinking by typing in the “What beverages have you been drinking?” field and selecting the Add button. You can also enter how many 16 oz glasses of water you consumed that day by dragging your finger over the slider bar to the desired number. Click the Save button.
To log any exercise or activity, open the MTH app and select the Activity Today? icon on the Dashboard. Or, you can select Activity from the hamburger menu in the upper left corner. From the Tell Us What You Did screen, click the Add icon. Select the date and time. Type in the field below what activity you accomplished, then click the Add button. Click the Save button.
To view the Brain Training, open the MTH app. Scroll down until you see the Brain Training audio link on the Dashboard. You can also select Brain Training from the hamburger menu in the upper left hand corner. From the Brain Training screen, click on the Deep Sleep option to access a recorded 11-minute audio. Use the Play/Pause button to start or stop the audio. There is an audio progress bar which you can use to fast forward or rewind the audio. You can adjust this by dragging your finger over the slider. You can listen to this brain training either through your smartphone speaker or through headphones.
You have the option to log your personal recipes so they are saved in the MTH app for later selection. To do so, open the MTH app. From the hamburger menu in the upper left corner select My Recipes. From the My Recipes screen click the yellow + icon in the lower right corner where to enter your recipes. On the Create Recipe screen you will enter a recipe name, and enter the ingredients below. The Ingredients screen will allow you to search for common food items that you can easily add.
You can also log foods into the My Foods section so they are saved in the MTH app for later selection. To do so, open the MTH app. From the hamburger menu in the upper left corner, select My Foods. From the My Foods screen there is a yellow + icon in the lower right corner where you have 3 options. You can use the pencil icon to enter in foods manually, the barcode icon to scan in a foods barcode, or the Tt icon where you can enter in the barcode number manually. (This is helpful if the barcode scanner won’t work.) These foods are accessible to select from the What I’m Eating screen.
To review your history and track your progress, open the MTH app and select the Let’s Take a Look Back – Review Your History and Track Your Progress icon on the Dashboard. On this screen you will see a history of all of your entries you have logged.
To fill out the health questionnaire, open the MTH app. From the hamburger icon you will use your finder to scroll down until you see “Health Questionnaire” and select it. Here you will be asked a series of questions based on your health. It is very important that you be honest with yourself. The goal of this app is to help remove inflammation from your body that could be compromising your immune system. If you are on medications, this will help convince the doctor that you are serious about having them help you get off medications if it is possible.
To logout of the MTH app, click the hamburger menu. Use your finder to scroll down until you see “Logout” and select it.
To report a problem with the MTH app, click the hamburger menu. Use your finder to scroll down until you see “Report Problem” and select it. This should open an email client from your smartphone and have it prepopulated to send. Please include as many details as possible so that our support team can try to respond and resolve your concerns in a timely manner.
